what’s in my cart – august edition

At the end of June, I started my “what’s in my cart” series and you guys loved it! I missed the boat on it in July, but, based on the insane deals that I posted from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I think you know what was in my cart last month.

Here’s what I have in my cart (plural) all over the interwebs (as of right now)! I did order a few of these things between beginning the post and actually publishing it, so I’ll be sure to let you know what I think when they arrive. Without further ado, here are my picks.

One

How fun are these kicks?! I have been looking for a lightweight shoe that’s comfy on my feet and decided on these. They do run large (most reviews say a full size) and the official recommendation from the brand is to size down half a size. I sized down one full size and should get them tomorrow (Thursday), so I’ll let you know what I think. They have been going in and out of stock, so keep checking.

Two

I’ve had my eye on this durable hard side luggage set since it came out. I love anything bold and confetti-like, so needless to say, it’s perfect for my tastes! I’m definitely going to invest in one before we go on our honeymoon/anniversary trip and I think this is the winner!

 

Three

I had a super embarrassing moment recently and let’s just say that it involved ripping one of my favorite cheetah print tops to shreds on the back. Needless to say, I need to replace it and I love this one! I think that the puff sleeve makes my arms look a little bit smaller and know it will be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. It should be arriving soon and I’ll make sure to take some photos and show you. The retailer also has great sales, so be sure to watch my What’s on Sale page.

What a fun pair of sunglasses! They’re a little bit of a splurge, but something to keep on the list and decide on later. I don’t mind splurging on a good pair of sunglasses because I do tend to take care of mine and there is no replacement for a quality pair. I love the texture of the frames and the gorgeous lens gradient – so unique!

 

Five

Now that I finally bit the bullet and bought the faux leather leggings, I also discovered this gorgeous pair of distressed white denim. This pair has been getting awesome reviews and I have not yet tried this brand’s denim, so I think it needs to go on the list. So cute with a simple top and denim jacket!

 

Six

As you know, I have been super into the headband trend lately and I need a place to store them so they don’t break. I’ve seen these nifty headband stands (which also have containers that open for additional items) and think they’re the perfect solution for me! Here are a couple of affordable headbands that I love – from the same retailer.

 

Seven

More animal print, I know. I can’t help myself! I’ve had these in my cart since they came out and they just went on huge sale. I decided to grab them because I know it’s the last opportunity to buy shorts and tank tops before we head to Hawaii. I’ll give you a review once I try them on. It’s important to know that this brand is plus-size only.

 

Eight

 

I’m just going to come right out and say it – these earrings cost as much or more than some of my Kendra Scott pairs, so they’ve been in my cart for a while. I know a couple of people who have them and they’re always so beautiful on. I do think that I’ll check out with them…someday.

 

Eight

One can never have too many great camis that are perfect for layering! I had another version of this top that was white (and subsequently, ruined) so I knew I wanted to put the black one in my cart. This retailer usually has wonderful sales, making everything beyond affordable – and we all know it’s great quality. The top comes in petite, regular, and plus and is great in many seasons – whether alone or with a cardigan or even a denim jacket!

 

Nine

You all know how much I love a good, bold lip. I’ve been eyeing this shade for a while because I love her formulations! I have some credit at this retailer, so I think it’s going to get ordered soon. What do you think of bold lips: awesome or scary?

 

Ten

I’ve looked at this mask for quite a while because it does have awesome reviews and is supposed to be really hydrating and great for your skin. I did a little test with it when I stopped by Sephora a couple of months ago and it wore really well on my skin in the nasty heat and humidity. It felt great – not too heavy but not too greasy, either. It was the perfect weight and hydration and bonus – you don’t have to wash it off!
