It’s no secret — you know by now that my wardrobe has tons of LOFT clothing in it; especially since they created the Plus line around a year ago. There is one LOFT store in Minnesota that carries the Plus pieces in-store and I try to get over there at least once a season to find some great staple pieces for both workwear and casual. Today was one of those days and I loved everything I saw in store!

I hope you love everything that I tried on as much as I did! I walked out of the store with about seven pieces that will be so perfect for both work and casual and with the latest LOFT deal, it didn’t break the bank.

Now, for the LOFT try on session.
I loved the first outfit (below) for a casual day at work or for a day of errands. The dark denim was so incredibly flattering — with the beautiful rose gold details. The jeans run true to size. I paired it with the softest v-neck sweater in gray (can you go wrong with a neutral?!) and threw a pretty black and white scarf around my neck to finish off the look. Sherbet and pastels are SO in for spring and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to grab some pieces in these amazing colors. I love swiss dot detailing on lighter fabric tops and this was no exception. I loved the fit of this peplum-esque top with the swiss dot texture! It’s perfect to wear to work with a skirt or pants, but also looks killer with denim. The top is true-to-size (no stretch), jeans are true-to-size, and the reversible coatigan runs slightly oversized, but I got my typical two-range size and it fits fantastic.

Dresses are perfect for work because it doesn’t require you to choose coordinating top and bottom pieces, right?! The wrap dress below is stunning! I love that LOFT added a snap detail to the chest closure to ensure that you feel self-confident, rather than self-conscious. The fabric is very lightweight polyester but lays well and shows off the curves, especially with the cute and flirty hemline and wrap closure. The colors in this dress are black and light pink and it runs true-to-size.

I was immediately drawn in by the simplicity of the black and white pattern in this wrap dress. It is slightly heavier than the pinstriped dress above and has the fantastic tie waist closure. The dress is gorgeous on its own but I also found a great way to style it for work events (below). I am OBSESSED with the black blazer and its gold buttons! PERFECT for work and I found so many things to pair it with.

One of the most comfortable dresses I’ve ever put on my body is this polka dot beauty below. The navy polka dot wrap dress does not have a tie waist (it is sewn wrapped) and is a thick knit material. Rather than being clingy as a knit, it hangs perfectly as the weight is a little heavier. Such a great dress for work but also for a vacation! I think I’m going to have to bring it to Miami with me.

The pattern on the smocked top below was so eye-catching in store! It’s more muted than the pink pattern I tried on (below), so if you’re not as adventurous with color, this might be the one for you. The front of this top is polyester and it’s so light and airy. The back is a fun knit surprise! It has the same pattern in a different fabric. It’s really gorgeous and pairs well with the blue paper bag waist dress pants! The pants look like denim from afar but are such a great slim fit, with thick material and hold up really nicely.

I love mixed media sweaters! They are my JAM (see my LOFT post from the fall). This crisp black crewneck sweater has a faux dress shirt with pinstripes at the sleeves. It also has a cute tie sleeve detail that makes you look really put together for the office. It runs true-to-size. I paired the sweater with my favorite work pants EVER. They are thick ponte knit leggings with a great gold zipper detail on the hips.

The fun pastel pink background of this shell, which also brings in a flutter sleeve and beautiful floral pattern was a must for me. I knew that I could wear the top to work or for casual outings and versatility for me is KEY. In the first photo, I paired the top with my favorite black workwear leggings from LOFT and then I changed into denim to show you a more casual twist on styling. Lastly, I added the reversible coatigan (in white – wore it as gray above) to finish the look. These jeans were even a little bit better fitting on me than the first pair I tried and I loved the slight destruction on the hips.

The next photo is showcasing the keyhole look to the top — which can also be worn unclasped for more of a v-neck look.

Lastly, I’d seen this peplum top (with the prettiest blue and yellow floral print) online and I wasn’t sure how it would fit or look in-person. It. Was. LOVE. The top is a thick cotton and is true-to-size. The button up detail gives it a cute boho look that’s perfect with gorgeous denim! Pair it with short or long layered necklaces and booties and you’re good to go.
