Ten Must-Have Sephora Items

I may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. As always, my opinions and sentiments are my own and I express them freely, regardless of sponsorship because I partner with brands I love.

Sephora rarely has sales, but when they do, it’s time to stock up or try some of the items you’ve had your eye on for a while. I did that during the last sale and have tried all of those items now. I’m happy to have a short list for you to shop from when you’re grabbing items, regardless of your Beauty Insider, VIB, or VIB Rouge status at Sephora. I’m going to keep you in anticipation during this one, so I’m going to count backward.

10. a great Sephora Collection travel makeup bag

This travel makeup bag from the Sephora Collection has such great compartments, plus a hanger. I love saving space when I’m in a cramped hotel room; especially when traveling with others. The pattern on this bag is awesome — I would know because I own it in a different size!

9. natural self-tanner (and applicator)

I was a little scared when I looked at the title of this self-tanner, but hang in here with me: it is the most natural-looking self tan I’ve ever had. Getting the applicator mitt is a MUST, as it’ll save your hands and help you apply evenly. It’s washable and gets quite a few uses out of it.

8. perfect perfume

Perfume is really, really subjective to your likes/dislikes. I found this one during the last Sephora sale when I was browsing. Sniff, coffee beans, sniff, coffee beans, wait, which was the one I liked again? Yep, it’s this one. The perfume I linked is my current favorite — it’s light and airy with floral notes. A truly classic scent that’s memorable…in a good way.

7.  lengthening, volumizing mascara

In all candidness, I don’t wear mascara anymore because I have lash extensions, but, hear me out: I was in a pinch a few weeks ago and had lost most of my lashes. I had to go to Sephora to buy mascara because I needed to make the extension-less lashes stand out and THIS mascara totally delivered! It was incredibly impressive, after it had been hyped to me by many people. There’s also a waterproof version.

6. luscious lippie color

I also have recently branched out into the world of “mainstream” lipsticks, as I have been using another well-known, long-lasting product over the past year and change. I loved the color “Pillow Talk” in this line and although I normally prefer more glossy lip colors, this gorgeous matte scores me compliments constantly. It truly is the perfect pinky-nude.

5. a great moisturizer (and skincare regimen)

Enough said. My skin has become worse as time has gone on and I needed to do something about it. I decided to try this skincare regimen before jumping into the full set and I loved it! This moisturizer is my favorite product in the entire line because it provides the best balance of moisture without making me feel greasy.

4. the right tools to get the job done

I couldn’t get through my routine without this life saver. It’s a cult favorite and this little set also comes with a cleanser, which is a necessity!

3. an amazing eye shadow pallet

Again, one of those subjective things, but I love this pallet. Every time I wear shades from it, I get tons of compliments. There are so many great combinations within this pallet, so I think it’s a really great value. It’s kind of a one stop shop!

2. the perfect finish {setting spray}

After all of that time spent doing your makeup, you want to know it’s going to last. Whether you’re wearing it on a date, an important day of meetings, or the biggest day of your life, you want it to remain in tact! This spray is lightweight and truly makes a difference in keeping it all in place.

1. flawless foundation

The base of it all. The canvas of your masterpiece. Foundation. I like a medium-to-full coverage foundation and I like to make sure it’s going to stay there all day (see #2). I have tried so many foundations throughout the years but this is the only one that I have really felt like I truly loved and would buy over and over again. The price of the bottle can be a bit shocking, but, I’ve had mine for eight months and I’m nowhere near empty. It’s worth it.

Tell me what I’m missing on my list in the comments! I LOVE trying new things and often do so based on recommendations from others.
