Casual utility jacket, shell + denim

I love how soft this utility jacket is! The olive green color goes with so many different things, as you’ll see in my next iteration. It would also pair really well with white denim when the weather is truly warmer. I can already see all of the possibilities with this jacket and know that I’ll be wearing it a ton!

Utility Jacket with a pop of color underneath

Can you tell how much I love this jacket?! I’m not afraid of a bold color to make a piece stand out. The gold top in all its glory is in my try-on on Insta Stories, but, I forgot to get a photo of it alone. It comes in various sizes and has gorgeous, understated embroidery to add texture, accentuating your waist with an understated tie in the front. I loved this!

Easy, breezy floral beauty + denim

This gorgeous, lightweight floral top is perfect for a cooler office and pairs well with denim for a more casual day (in my office, we have a “dress for your day” policy, so I can definitely wear this) or for running errands or meeting up with friends. It could just as easily go with a black pencil skirt, front tucked, and a blazer for a more professional day.

Ruffles + Florals

Every time I go into the store to look at LOFT PLUS, I try something that I wouldn’t ordinarily pick for myself. For whatever reason, this top wasn’t something that I was going to bring into the fitting room. Leslie, one of the amazing associates at LOFT Woodbury Lakes, told me that I absolutely had to try this on and I obliged. She has a great eye and once this beauty was on my body, it HAD to come home with me. The material is so light and airy – more like a crepe weight, but is not quite as sheer. I loved that the bottom hem of the sleeves and the bodice have a subtle ruffle that bring a feminine feel to the top, too!

Change it up!

I can’t tell you the last time I put a pair of white jeans on. Basically, never. Again, I tried to go outside my comfort zone and I LOVED the way that the white denim fit and changed up the look of several items that I tried. Here is the last top I showed you with the white denim — a must have!

Tone your arms without working out

I’m serious! The top I’m wearing below was the very first one to catch my eye when I strolled through the LOFT PLUS section yesterday. I love its whimsical pattern, with subtle but beautiful pastel colors that pair so well together. When I put the light polyester top on, I immediately knew that it was going to be the most amazing work top. I have several LOFT tops in the same fabric, and they keep me cool when I get warm and stressed at work. The thing I didn’t expect to love as much as I did was the arm shape! The arms look a bit large and in charge when the top is on the hanger, but it really slims your arms when it’s on. This top is so easy to pair with skirts to make it even more professional, too!

More Floral!

Floral is huge this season, can you tell?! I also love it because I think that it is incredibly flattering. I decided to keep the white denim on and swap out the top for a navy background with tiny flowers and a little detail on the collar. The primary colors of the flowers are yellow and white, so it’s not so busy.

Coziest Outfit of the Day

The winner is…the white denim and this incredibly soft, light sweater. It feels like a light chenille, but isn’t quite that. I also paired my olive green utility jacket with the sweater and jeans for a casual Saturday night dinner. DEFINITELY get the sweater! My mom had FOMO after seeing me in the sweater and decided we needed to be twins.

Beach ready

I’m headed to the beach next week and I know that kimonos are all the rage right now. I wanted to be able to wear a kimono over my black bathing suit, but potentially also be able to wear it to a happy hour or beach side dinner. I loved the gorgeous colors in this light and airy kimono and effortlessly paired it with the shell you saw in the first outfit, plus the infamous white denim. Can you tell that I’m over my fear of white jeans?!

Plus-Sized Romper

True confessions: I’ve never tried a romper as a plus-sized woman and I’ve seen a few of my fellow curvy bloggers try them on this season. I didn’t hate it because they all rocked it and gave me the courage to try it, too. The romper that I tried on from the LOFT PLUS line is also available in misses and has the prettiest pattern!

Saved the Lace for Last

Lace is just so darn pretty! I thought this beautiful navy lace dress would be perfect for work and for my trip to Miami. I love that it is a shift dress with a scalloped bottom — so gorgeous and easy to pair with nude heels or sandals for an easy outfit.
