I have been looking for size inclusive dresses for both work and weekend because I have a feeling I’ll be wearing more “normal” clothes this summer and I am ready for it! I’ve been editing my closet a ton lately and selling what I can on an app. It lightens my closet and in turn, I make a little money back that I can put toward new stuff.
I found five size inclusive dresses that will be perfect for the summer; most of which are budget-friendly. I wore a regular bra with some of them and with others, I wore my very favorite strapless bra, which is perfect for busts of all sizes.
a note on fit and styling
Depending on the brand and fit, I can certainly wear a couple of sizes. I’m generally between a 2X and 3X or a 22 or 24. I’ll denote the sizes I’m wearing in each dress and any fit notes around each.

This embroidered dress is a beautiful statement piece that I can’t wait to wear for so many occasions! It sold out so, so fast but I am hopeful it’ll be back soon. In the event that it is not, I am linking another size inclusive embroidered dress in a different color that’s short sleeved but is gorgeous! Well worth the investment.
This dress is the one that led me to scour the entire site for new, size inclusive dresses and I love it so much! I saw this dress in person in straight sizes in store and knew I had to have it. It’s so comfortable, I love the navy color, and the square neckline works so well on a bottom curvy body because it leads the eye to the upper body. The smocked bodice is super comfortable and you can most definitely wear a regular bra with the dress. Plus, POCKETS!
This dress is in one of my favorite fabrics (for the season and ever!) – gauze. It has a tiered layered effect, which can look a little “colonial woman” at times, but not if you get the right fit and style it properly. I might also style this with a belt in the future and/or a denim jacket or cardigan. It comes in so many colors, which is perfect because you can then ensure you’re choosing your best colors when considering this dress.
The pattern on this dress screams SUMMER! I love it so much because it’s light and airy, but is more of a midi length on me and has a feminine ruffle strap. The back dips a bit and is smocked, so I recommend sizing down if you are in between sizes, as I am. If a smaller size does not come back in stock soon, I’m going to consider having the dress taken in so it fits me a bit better because it is really fantastic. It also has pockets, which is a big deal for me!
Last but certainly not least is this showstopper of a tiered maxi dress! The pastel colors are just so happy and fun and you cannot beat the price of this dress. It’s selling very fast, so turn on notifications if it’s out of stock in your size and you want it. This would be the perfect dress for a day at a winery, a casual outdoor wedding, or even at the beach. It would look adorable belted also!
