It’s National Lipstick Day. Not only did I not know this was a “thing”, but I also thought that every day was national lipstick day?! No, just me? I have always been really into expressing myself through my lip colors, which means that I never have less than five in my purse at all times. Not even kidding.

Creme Cup – MAC
I had to start with Creme Cup, because not only is it a cult favorite, but it is a really beautiful neutral that looks great on so many people! Creme Cup goes on beautifully – it’s done in MAC’s cremesheen formula, which is hydrating and well, creamy. This is the perfect lip color to get on National Lipstick Day because you’ll wear it all year long – and with everything. It’s a pinky nude that epitomizes the “my lips but better” movement.
Pillow Talk – Charlotte Tilbury
The smooth, creamy lipsticks from Charlotte Tilbury apply like a dream! No wonder I was hooked when I first tried the hugely popular dusty rose shade Pillow Talk in the Matte Revolution line. Even though it’s a matte, it’s actually hydrating and long-lasting. I love the gorgeous color because it’s a great neutral that works for so many different people. My next Charlotte Tilbury lip colors are going to be Miranda May and Stoned Rose.
Mamacita – Huda Beauty
When you’re feeling really sassy and you’re in a tropical climate, you need to wear some mamacita! This was my very first Huda Beauty liquid matte lipstick and I was taken aback by how pigmented it is. You need only a small amount – and a steady hand to apply it well. The lipstick stays on for quite a long time and the color never fades! LOVE this bright coral/red for ANY outfit in warm weather. Syrup – MAC
This is one of my favorite everyday shades and the best way to describe it is “old reliable”. Sometimes, I’ll pick an outfit to wear and I don’t even have to question what lip to pair with it. Syrup always works! It’s a gorgeous pinky berry color that comes in a great lustre formula that glides on easily and wears well throughout the day. It appears a bit more bright than it truly is on in the photo with the peonies.
Ruby Woo – MAC
Ruby Woo is the perfect red for the holidays or when you’re feeling sassy. It is a highly-pigmented, gorgeous red lip that brings out your features and brings a pop of color to your ensemble. Ruby Woo has a very matte formula, so if you don’t like ultra mattes, it’s probably not the best choice for you. It is a bit more blue toned for a red, so it also makes your teeth appear whiter – which is always a bonus!
