bought it. loved it. – volume 1

I may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. As always, my opinions and sentiments are my own and I express them freely, regardless of sponsorship because I partner with brands I love.

This is my very first edition of bought it. loved it. This segment is the outcome of an effort to share the random tried and true finds with you in a more consistent manner! I’m not sure how often I’ll update it, but I will try to make it as “bite sized” as I am in this first edition so it’s easy to read.

I will warn you: these bought it. loved it. features are going to be a mixture of everything from fashion to accessories to beauty to home (maybe even with pets or kitchen mixed in), but will be a true reflection of everyday products I’m truly purchasing and using with my own money, unless otherwise disclosed.

As always, if you have questions or feedback, don’t hesitate to comment on this post. With that, let’s get to the items I’ve recently bought and loved!

Elta MD Sunscreen – using this daily under my makeup to ensure that I’m taking good care of my skin. It comes highly recommended by my dermatologist and comes in clear or tinted. It contains hyaluronic acid, which has so many great benefits to tighten and firm your skin.

Set of Clear Plastic Drawer Organizers – I bought these for our bathroom renovation and used all 10. They fit so perfectly in various drawers! I love that everything has its place and my hair ties and bobby pins aren’t floating around in my drawers randomly. I use the smaller containers for the aforementioned items, plus my beauty blender, and Apple Watch charger. I use the other bins for separating my brushes (wet and dry), comb (and brush cleaning tool), contact solution and case, over the counter medication, and more. They fit great – and you can configure them to fit your drawers – at any size. They’re great for office supplies, your kitchen drawers (including the junk drawer!), workshop/garage spaces, and more.

Black designer dupe sunglasseswith a large frame and 50mm flat lens – I shared these on Instagram stories recently. I love them! I actually tried the designer version on when I was browsing shops in Las Vegas earlier this year and loved the fit and style, but decided not to purchase right then and there. I’ve been seeing this much, much more affordable version floating around lately and thought I would try them for $15!

Underwire plunge bra – I had my apprehensions about this bra because it’s very different than every other bra that I’ve worn for the past 20ish years, but, I am so glad that I tried it! There is nothing better than a properly-fitting bra that feels like wearing nothing, yet gives you the right support. This bra is exactly that for me. I do have a larger chest, so I will tell you that this was my experience and it may be different for others – but, I am ready to order more of these and that’s saying something. They are sheer, but I have not had any “see through” issues and I currently own the nude color. The last thing to mention is that it’s an absolutely beautiful bra!

Volume Mascara – the pandemic has changed so many things with my makeup routine, including how often (and which products) I’m applying. My lashes came off as a result of natural shedding and growth, which left me with my natural lashes and a need for mascara. If you have lash extensions, you do not wear mascara, so I have not had a tube of it in nearly three years and needed to find something fast for video calls. I did some research and decided to try something that I’ve not worn before. This mascara had great reviews and I’ve really loved how it makes my lashes look long and thick. It’s similar to Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara in how it wears, but I do think I like this slightly better.

Beautiful CZ Earrings – I was looking for an affordable pair of “everyday” earrings that looked nice and didn’t tarnish quickly because I have fairly sensitive ears. These earrings have great reviews and I bought them on the recommendation of another blogger that I trust. I got them at 50% off and immediately saw how great the quality was! I’ve been wearing them a lot lately and they do not show signs of wear or issues in my ears. I would even pay full price for them because they’re that good.

Hoola Matte Bronzer (in a jumbo size) – I ran out of bronzer a few months ago and have heard great things about the Hoola bronzer powder. I saw that they started making a jumbo size and it was a great value, so I went for it. I love, love, love this bronzer!!! The brush that it comes with is also excellent for contouring and I will continue to repurchase this undoubtedly.
