amazon favorites: february 2019

I may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post. As always, my opinions and sentiments are my own and I express them freely, regardless of sponsorship because I partner with brands I love.

Much of what you’ve been asking about this month has come from Amazon, believe it or not! I’ve organized my tried and true Amazon favorites in this post and I’ve added a little bonus wish list.

One

I got this watch band for my Apple Watch around November. I had a really cute one previously but it wasn’t smooth and was ruining some of the insides of the sleeves of my clothes. I saw this adorable cheetah print and I couldn’t resist! I love that this band comes in two options for different wrist sizes (I have the M/L) and both sizes of watches (I have the 38mm).

I’ve been ice rolling my face for almost a year (44 weeks, to be exact) and when I had a little bit of an allergic reaction a couple of weekends ago, you were all captivated. Does it really work? What are the benefits? How do you use it? is what many of you asked. I thought about doing a post on it but I’m not even close to an expert on the subject. I know that I love putting the roller piece in my freezer and ice rolling when my allergies are bad, face feels puffy, or I have a fever. Roll upward in short strokes toward points of lymphatic drainage and you’ll feel so much better! This gem is under $15.

I know that you’ve seen this find before but I thought I would share it again because it’s too darn fantastic not to! I LOVE this Yeti mug because quite honestly, I’m not even a mom yet, but I can rarely drink my coffee the instant I make it. The mug prevents my drinks from getting cold (when they’re meant to be hot), holds a great amount of liquid, and washes very nicely. It comes in a host of colors and makes an awesome gift for friends, family, your significant other, or yourself!

I wrote an entire post dedicated to my new Nespresso lifestyle, but I can’t help sharing my Nespresso machine as one of my February favorites. I used to go to Starbucks at least once a day (sometimes twice) and get a drink that cost me $5.62. I knew that if I had a way to make something similar at home, I would be able to get some time back in the morning and kick my habit. Since I got (and I say I because Bob doesn’t drink coffee) the machine, it has been so much fun to try all of the different Nespresso capsules and be able to make various beverages at home whenever I want them. Not to mention, it’s much more cost effective! My machine makes hot and iced beverages, espresso shots, and has a self-cleaning function. I’m in love!

I really struggled with what to get the dogs for Christmas as they have more toys than a small army of toddlers. Kirby, our Basset Hound, only plays with toys every once in a while and they are usually bones or interactive in some way. Peanut would play with a stick if I let him — he loves everything. I came across this Babble Ball, which says over 20 phrases when it’s moved. It does make a lot of noise but the dogs love rolling it around to hear what it’s going to say next and it keeps them busy (Kirby included!) It’s very hard plastic and is not “chewable”, so it’s really pretty perfect. Under $10 and comes in different sizes (we have the large).

This photo is sort of ridiculous, but I didn’t have any photos of me using my shiatsu massager. I got duped into buying this baby for $100 at the Minnesota State Fair, but my cousin found it on Amazon for around $50. I’m a sucker, but this was totally worth it! You put the massager around your arms (yes, like a t-rex) and plug it in, then you can move it around your neck, back, arms, etc. to relieve pain and tension. It also has a heat setting, which is really awesome! It doesn’t beat back massages from my husband but it is helpful and a fantastic find!

I discovered this remote controlled outlet around Christmas time when I decided that there MUST be a better way to light our tree than crouching on the ground under the branches twice a day. This thing has awesome range and was incredibly affordable! It’s also great for lamps or other electronics that require plugging and unplugging to work (rather than an on/off switch). Do yourself a favor and get some of these!

I can’t take all the credit for this find. Shout out to my boss for ordering one of these phone stands for her desk — it is a game changer! I like to be aware of what’s going on with my phone when I’m at my desk, working away on things. It’s great to have my phone propped up in front of me and the open section for the charger (in the middle) keeps me powered up, too. This awesome, heavy duty phone stand is under $10 and comes in a few colors.

The next find is going to seem a little silly to link, however, I know that some of you have as much appreciation for office supplies as I do. I found these awesome pens when I was looking for some new writing utensils for my planner. I do use them for planner creations sometimes, but they are also really great at work. I’m a visual learner and the different colors help me commit some of my notes to memory a bit better. I like the 0.7 size (more of a medium) but the 0.5 are really nice, too! The colors are very vibrant and the writing is smooth with these gel pens.

I took this shameless selfie during Sunday Self Care time. I’ve had some acne lately, which is not normal for me and I’ve been trying to get rid of it. I tried these acne patches and they work so, so well! I normally put them on my face before I go to bed and remove in the morning. They take a lot of the fluid out and visibly reduce the acne without scarring or using really harsh chemicals (I have sensitive skin). The best part? They’re under $3 for a sheet of 24 patches of various sizes!

Bonus Wish List

My new trick for Amazon shopping is to put items on a list every time I see them and want to add them to cart but am not quite ready to pull the trigger. I’ve added a link to that list here so you can see the items I’m loving that some of the bloggers I follow (or Amazon) have recommended.
