Hi, I’m Heather! Glad you’re here.
Welcome to the north star notes community! I am a 30-something sassy and inquisitive corporate marketing professional by day and blogger by night; living in the Minneapolis / St. Paul suburbs with my husband and two pups.
Why north star notes?
The name pays homage to my home: Minnesota, the North Star State. I started north star notes in 2018 because I have been getting questions about what I’m wearing, using, buying, and think of things for years and I wanted to create a resource for women of all shapes and sizes; but especially plus-sized women. I’ve had an interesting journey with my body and want to continue to foster a strong body neutrality / body positivity based community filled with confidence and support.

I love completing an outfit with the perfect accessories, a love/hate relationship with Pinterest (feel free to follow me), am constantly running on fumes, and dedicate my “fun” time to my blog. I have an affinity for kitchen gadgets, am always counting down the days ’til Christmas, love travel, and am a dog mom to both a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Basset Hound.
